Dear all, Many thanks to everyone for attending the Dorking Rugby Club Mins Festival on Sunday 23rd April. A huge thank-you to all for making it such a fantastic day and enjoyable experience.

We had 18 clubs, 160 teams, 1,600 players, countless coaches, carers and parents all safely on-site for a 10am start.

One number that I am particularly proud of is that we had over 200 volunteers supporting the festival which made me truly appreciate the camaraderie and spirit of our great club. The first squad certainly enjoyed doing the BBQ and our Chairman was even spotted giving cars a push out of the mud!

Ok so it rained, I will work on that next year however it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the players with every club living the TREDS values from start to finish. The quality of rugby across all the age groups was superb – everyone taking part can be incredibly proud.

Many thanks to our friends at Harlequins who got the opportunity to referee several games across the age groups and take some photos with the players. Speaking of photos, a selection of photos can be found here.

Finally, I would like to thank our Sponsors for making this happen, your support is truly appreciated. We are back next year on 21 April 2024 and I hope to see you there. I will try and arrange the sun to visit but cannot make any guarantees.

Invites will be issued in the autumn so please have a safe and enjoyable summer break.

Best wishes

Colin Woods
