Dorking Gym

Dorking Rugby Club has over the years always maintained its player and member focused approach.
It is, therefore, only fitting that we have opened our rehabilitation centre and gym 100 years after we played our first rugby match in 1921.

The rehabilitation centre and gym is a fully functional facility to give our members a chance to ensure that they can stay on top of any physical conditioning, supported by our in house fully qualified strength and conditioning coach.
The facility also provides our playing members with the opportunity to not only develop physically but also to gain the knowledge of how to look after themselves physically and mentally, in and out of season.

Gym Opening hours:

Monday to Friday - 6am - 9pm
(Gym is very busy Monday to Thursday between 6.15pm and 8pm for Player Activity)

Saturday & Sunday - 8am - 3pm

(Saturday home games the gym will close at 11am)


GYM MEMBERSHIP

Membership to our Dorking Rugby Club Gym is exclusively for active DRFC members. Whether you are a Parent, Player, Sponsor or Supporter with an active DRFC membership, you can become a Gym member too.

Step 1

There are four different categories of Gym Membership:

• Over 55 
• Paying
• Non-playing 
• Colts

**Please Note**
The first membership payment is taken as a card payment for the part of the month through to the end and then from the 1st of the following month the system will process the direct debit payment. 
So to ensure your membership is set up correctly, please make sure your DD is also in place. 

Step 2

Once you have signed up to a membership, you just download our Gym App and scan your QR code at the door when you turn up for entry.

CLASSES / PERSONAL TRAINING

At our Dorking Gym we run lots of different sessions from 121's all the way large group sessions. 

You can attend our classes or PT sessions whether you are a DRFC member or not and we have various rates for:
• Non members
• DRFC Members
• Gym Members

We will of course run seasonal programs alongside some outdoor training should the weather allow so please keep an eye out for these.

FORCEPLATES TESTING

Who Are Force Plates For?

Force plate testing is ideal for sports people and athletes looking to maximise their performances and wanting to keep on top of injury prevention, namely:

  • Rugby players - Dorking Rugby players get access to this service though players of other clubs are also welcome to book in.
  • Semi-professional and professional athletes
  • CrossFit and Hyrox competitors
  • Footballers and other team sports players
  • Fitness enthusiasts and gym-goers
